Birthright: A Revolution in Biblical Foundations

About the Book

What if Jacob never stole Esau’s birthright?

Maria Miculic proposes a scientific explanation suggesting Jacob may have been the true firstborn, exonerating one of Israel’s patriarchs after thousands of years.

Birthright: A Revolution in Biblical Foundations reexamines the Genesis story of Jacob and Esau through biblical analysis, genealogy, and modern medical science. The book proposes a new interpretation suggesting that Jacob may have been the true firstborn, challenging traditional assumptions about one of the Holy Scriptures' most compelling narratives.

Meet the Author

Missionary Pastor Maria Miculic is a Brazilian-American theologist and biblical researcher. Her missionary work has taken her all over the world, from the Tabajara and Potiguara tribes in the state of Paraíba in Brazil to serving the indigenous populations in remote parts of Bolivia and Peru. In the 1980s, she served the families affected by the Falkland Wars in Argentina and worked with the Apurinã tribe in the jungles of the Amazon.

In 1991, she moved from Argentina to the United States with her husband, Pastor Jorge H. Miculic, where they founded Last Hour Ministry, Inc., in New Bedford, Massachusetts.

Later, in 2005, while in La Paz, Bolivia, she had a revelation that inspired her to write her first book, El Primogenito (Birthright), which was later translated into both Portuguese and English.

The book explores the intersection of scripture, genealogy, and scientific interpretation. Her research into the Genesis account of Jacob and Esau led to the development of a new discovery on one of the most compelling stories in the Holy Scriptures.

Currently, she continues her work with the Brazilay Project, a social initiative dedicated to supporting underprivileged children living in favelas across Brazil.
